Disposable Surgical Drape Set and Components
Cardboard Camera Cover
A camera drape with a cardboard insert is a single-use protective cover designed to maintain the sterility of surgical cameras used during medical procedures. The "cardboard" feature refers to a cardboard section typically located at the entry point of the cover, which helps stabilize the camera and facilitates easier handling. Since surgical cameras can be difficult to sterilize, these drapes cover the external surface of the device, ensuring sterility and minimizing the risk of infection.
Usage Areas:
- Laparoscopic Surgeries: Used to keep the surgical camera sterile during laparoscopy procedures.
- Endoscopic Procedures: Protects the camera's sterility during endoscopy and ensures a stable image throughout the procedure.
- Orthopedic Surgeries: Helps maintain the sterility of the camera during surgeries assisted by imaging equipment.
- Gynecological Surgeries: Used to maintain sterility during gynecological procedures involving cameras.
- Interventional Radiology: Employed during invasive procedures where imaging devices and cameras are used.
The camera drape with a cardboard insert provides infection control for healthcare professionals and ensures that surgical cameras can be safely used in sterile environments. The cardboard section makes it easier to position the camera and offers more stability during use.
